Overall it was good experience staying on this hotel..
Our stay at the hotel was good. We had a few issues, but they were resolved very quickly. Supervisor Tarek Ahmod was very helpful—he ensured our room was clean every day and assisted us with anything we needed related to his job. His service made our stay more comfortable. Thank you!"

What was the highlight of Jawharet Al Majd Hotel
Mostly good but the receptionists need to learn some manners and decorum
This is a 1 star hotel so I wasn't expecting much but it was actually decent for 1 star. The rooms were clean, the shower was powerful. It was a 15 min walk to the haram but once you've done Umrah and your feet hurt it seems a lot longer.
We arrived at 7am to be met with an empty reception desk and waited 20 mins for the guy to show up who arrived with his breakfast and a scowl on his face. The person in front of me had an issue with his key card but for some reason the receptionist became very aggressive towards him. After dealing with the key card he checked me in with no apologies for the delay. Unfortunately the rest of the reception staff had the same bad attitude throughout my stay. We had two rooms with 10 beds in total. Two of the beds broke and I had to ask the 4 times for them to sort it out. The first three times the young ladies on the front desk were really upset they had to look up from their phones and still didn’t do anything until I had to assert myself, only then did they call someone to fix the beds. Again no apologies just a stinking bad attitude. The worst thing about their attitude is that they treated me better than the other guests who were mainly from Pakistan and Bangladesh (I am Pakistani myself but I am from England). The cleaning staff on the other hand were very respectful and did an amazing job. The lifts were another matter. Before and after prayers the lifts were a free for all. Lots of pushing and shoving and the lifts eventually stopping due to them being overloaded. This isn’t the hotels fault this is due to the 1 star mentality of some of the guests. Also, the beds are not suitable for anyone over 6 foot. I'm 6'5" and my feet were dangling off the end. Would I stay here again? I absolutley would. Its a cheap no frills hotel where you get what you pay for. The beds breaking and my feet hanging off the end gave this hotel a quirky character. I was expecting worse but yeah i would stay again.
